Job Agent Tips/Tricks

The Job Search Agent feature is NOT linked to your profile in OpenHire. Any information you use to set up your job search agent does not populate in your profile. For example, if you upload your resume in the job search agent, that does not create a resume for you in your job profile.

The Job Search Agent feature asks you to upload a resume for the system to match against. You DO NOT have to upload a resume. You can actually upload a simple word document with keywords listed. For example, you could upload a word document with the following:

The more detailed the information that you upload, the better the match. Therefore, uploading a resume will allow for the best match to your background.

You must have an email address to set up a job search agent. If you do not have an email address please go to or and follow the directions for creating an email account.  To set up an account using hotmail, on the left side of the page, click on the blue box that says Sign up.  To set up an account using yahoo, go to the top right of the page and click on Free Mail Sign Up.
